WELDER TRAINING (FULL-TIME)

About Program

The Welder Training Certificate Program provides students with both theoretical knowledge and practical training in welding techniques used across a wide range of industries. Over 16 weeks, students will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard welding processes and equipment, preparing them for certification and employment in manufacturing, construction, metal fabrication, and beyond.

This program includes classroom instruction in blueprint reading and welding theory, combined with practical training in multiple welding methods, including Oxy-Acetylene Cutting, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW). Students will also train on a wide range of support tools and learn safety practices based on Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) and Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) standards.

Program Highlights:

  • Hands-On Learning: Gain real-world experience with welding equipment and tools in lab-based training environments.

  • Comprehensive Curriculum: Covers blueprint reading, welding safety, and practical application of major welding techniques and metal fabrication tools.

  • Certification Preparation: Prepares students for CWB certification testing (flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions).

  • Industry-Relevant Training: Aligns with Canadian safety and technical standards to ensure job-readiness.

  • Employment-Ready Skills: Learn to weld, cut, shape, and repair metal parts used in structural, industrial, and manufacturing sectors.

Courses Include:

  • Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
  • Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
  • Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
  • Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
