The Gas Technician (Part-Time) Diploma Program is a 54-week training course designed for individuals seeking a flexible path into the gas technician trade. Using the official TSSA (Technical Standards and Safety Authority) curriculum, this program prepares students for the Gas Fitter 3 (G3) and Gas Fitter 2 (G2) licensing examinations—both of which are required to work as a licensed Gas Fitter in Ontario.
Delivered through lectures and hands-on workshops by certified Gas Fitters with industry experience, this part-time program balances theoretical learning with practical application. Students gain skills in gas appliance installation, servicing, leak detection, and system diagnostics. All licensing exams are conducted on-site at Stanford International College, a certified TSSA examination centre.
Upon successful completion of the TSSA G3 and G2 licensing exams, graduates may find employment with gas utility providers or companies that install, service, and maintain gas appliances and systems.
