GAS TECHNICIAN G3/G2 (PART-TIME)

About Program

The Gas Technician (Part-Time) Diploma Program is a 54-week training course designed for individuals seeking a flexible path into the gas technician trade. Using the official TSSA (Technical Standards and Safety Authority) curriculum, this program prepares students for the Gas Fitter 3 (G3) and Gas Fitter 2 (G2) licensing examinations—both of which are required to work as a licensed Gas Fitter in Ontario.


Delivered through lectures and hands-on workshops by certified Gas Fitters with industry experience, this part-time program balances theoretical learning with practical application. Students gain skills in gas appliance installation, servicing, leak detection, and system diagnostics. All licensing exams are conducted on-site at Stanford International College, a certified TSSA examination centre.

Admission Requirements:

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • OR mature student status with successful completion of entrance examination
